What kind of warranty does Village Building Company have?
Village Building Company offers a 1-year Home Builders’ Association Warranty AND they furnish a 10-year waterproofing warranty through Watchdog Waterproofing on the basement walls.
How does the $2500-down Program work?
This program is applicable to building one of their many homes in their Villages. The $2500 deposit is the only money required to build a home with Village Building Company. You do not need a construction loan. After your home is completed you arrange your financing just like you were purchasing an existing home. One closing – no interest during construction means lower risk for you, the customer.
What kind of changes can buyers make to the floor plans offered in each of the Villages?
Village Building Company has many floor plans to choose from that will likely satisfy your wish list. You can customize your home from a long list of options Village Building Company offers to you to choose from.
Will Village Building Company build in “other” Villages?
YES – If you own a lot or have a favorite lot outside of one of their Villages, Village Building Company will custom build your home. Village Building Company can guide you down the path of designing your home to adding the finishing touches.
How long does it take to build a home with Village Building Company?
It typically takes 4-6 months to build with Village Building Company in one of their Villages.
What is included versus what is seen in the Villages’ models?
Each of the Villages’ models is different. Ask a sales manager for details and a list of options. If there is something you don’t see and you want it, ASK! Village Building Company will accommodate, if they can.
How are the basement walls constructed/waterproofed?
The basement walls are poured concrete 8” thick that actually look like a hand-laid brick pattern. The walls are strengthened with steel rebar that is placed in the walls. The walls are waterproofed with a polymer that warrants against water intrusion for 10 years. In addition, the walls are insulated on the exterior with foam board.
What amenities do buyers get to choose from?
Each subdivision has an updated list of options and amenities. Contact a sales manager for a specific list.
How can Village Building Company build me a home with just a $2500 deposit – how can they do that? Seems too good to be true …
It is true! They have been so successful with this program. All you need to provide them with is the $2500 deposit and proof that you can close on the home when it is completed. A letter of pre-approval from a qualified lender is required to verify you financially will qualify for a loan to close when the home is completed.
What if I need to sell my current home to buy a Village Building Company home? Can Village Building Company do anything to help me?
YES! We have a sister company, Village Home Realty, and relationships with other real estate companies to help you with this. We have a cost effective program to help you.
Is Village Building Company a member of the HBA?
YES! They have been a member since our inception. They have a record of spectacular customer satisfaction that they are proud of and would like you to investigate.
What appliances are standard?
Village Building Company includes a range/oven, microwave, dishwasher & disposal. We can help you with other appliances and offer their “builders’ discount” to our customers.
What kind of windows, doors, insulation & roofing does Village Building Company use?
- Andersen windows
- ThermaTru fiberglass insulated front doors
- Owens Corning R13 insulation is used in the walls.
- The ceilings have an R30 factor in the cathedral ceilings while the flat ceilings have an R38 factor.
- Owens Corning supplies the 30-year architectural shingle & ridge vent.
- Ice guard is used in the valleys & roof edges.
